Re-Buried is a death metal band hailing from Seattle, Washington. Formed in 2018, they’ve carved out a name for themselves in the underground with a raw and uncompromising style deeply rooted in old-school death metal. After dropping a few singles and a demo, they released their crushing debut Repulsive Nature in 2023 – a record that gained solid attention from fans of the genre. Now they return with their second full-length, Flesh Mourning – and it’s a brutal step forward.

Seattle-based death metal band Re-Buried returns with their second full-length album, Flesh Mourning – a 30-minute onslaught spread over eight relentless tracks. Their 2023 debut Repulsive Nature set the bar high, and now they’re back to prove they’re not messing around.

This is raw and brutal in all the right ways. Re-Buried’s approach to death metal is absolutely beautiful – in the most savage sense of the word. It’s loud, unhinged, and feels like a punch straight to the face. Their unique sound stands tall in today’s death metal landscape while staying deeply rooted in the old school.

The album is tightly crafted, filled with crushing guitar riffs, pounding drums, and vocals that ooze desperation and power. The growls come from deep within – full of rage and hopelessness – yet never push the listener away. This is controlled chaos with a strong sense of atmosphere.

Flesh Mourning leans heavily into classic death metal but adds thrashy elements and a dark, almost apocalyptic mood. Just when you think a song is winding down, they hit you again – with bear-like roars and brutal riffs that tear through everything. Re-Buried proves they can do whatever they want – and make it sound damn good.

This is a band to keep your eyes on. Flesh Mourning is a high-quality release – the kind that still feels great even when it gets messy. For old-school death metal fans, this is a must.
