Corridoré- Abandon

Image
My review on Corridor é  - Abandon Release : August 22nd , 2025 Origin    : Madison , Wisconsin Label      : Hypaethral Records  Rating    : At the end Corridoré, a band formed around 2016–2017 in Madison, Wisconsin, operates at the intersection of post-metal, black metal, and shoegaze. Their first release was the demo/EP Vanquish The Light Of Day in 2017, featuring two lengthy tracks that introduced them as a deeply atmospheric and evocative force in the underground scene. They followed up in 2019 with a self-titled full-length, further refining their blend of atmospheric shoegaze and black metal. Eight years after their debut, their second full-length, Abandon , delivers five tracks totaling around 41 minutes of immersive music. I had no expectations when I pressed play. The band was completely new to me, but as a black metal fan, my curiosity was piqued. The opening lines of We Vanish to Nothing immediately grabbed me , this was s...

Sinsaenum - In Devostation

My review on Sinsaenum - In Devostation Release : August 8th , 2025 Label       : earMusic Origin      : France / USA / Hungary Rating      : At The end Sinsaenum is a band I’ve followed for a while. Formed back in 2016 by Frédéric Leclercq and Joey Jordison, they came with the promise of extreme metal played by musicians from some of the biggest bands out there – DragonForce, Kreator, Mayhem, Dååth. Their first two records, Echoes of the Tortured (2016) and Repulsion for Humanity (2018), set the tone for what this project was about. Now they return with their third album, In Devastation , the first without Jordison, and an album that carries a lot of weight because of that. The title track opens things up with heavy groove and a dark atmosphere, and right away you get a sense of how massive this record is going to be. The production is clear and powerful, everything sounds sharp and in-your-face. Still, as I listened through the a...

Ancient Torment - Follow the echo of curses

Image
My review on this killer debut Release : August 1th , 2025 Label     : Eternal Death Origin    : Providence , Rhode Island Rating   :  At the end Ancient Torment – Follow the Echo of Curses Released August 1st, 2025 via Eternal Death Nearly a decade after first emerging from the depths of the underground, Rhode Island’s Ancient Torment arrive with their debut full-length, Follow the Echo of Curses  ,a record steeped in ceremonial darkness and crafted with intent. This is not a collection of songs thrown together for effect; it’s a unified work, six tracks over forty-two minutes, built to pull the listener into its shadowed domain and hold them there. The opening track, “Hanging from a Dead Star” , wastes no time in establishing the band’s approach. Mid-paced riffs grind forward with a sense of inevitability, while Stygial’s vocals deliver each line as if it were an invocation. Guitarists Tormentum and Apparition weave lines that feel...

Abyssery - Interminable End

Image
My review on Interminable End by Abyssery Release : July 25th , 2025 Label      : Independent Orign      : Dublin , Ireland Rating     : At The  End Abyssery – Interminable End A devastating debut from the Dublin underground Every once in a while, a release cuts through the noise with such clarity and intensity that you can’t look away. Interminable End , the debut full-length from Irish solo project Abyssery , is one of those records. No hype. No major label. No compromises. Just a relentless, focused, and surprisingly mature statement of intent. Abyssery is the child of Brian Doherty , a musician based in Dublin who wrote, recorded, and produced the album himself. It's a fully independent effort—DIY in the truest sense—but it doesn’t sound like a lo-fi bedroom experiment. Quite the opposite: Interminable End is razor-sharp, violent, atmospheric, and utterly immersive. With James Stewart  on drums and a guest appearance from...

My review on Bloodletter - Leave the light behind Release : July 25th , 2025 Label       : Wise Blood Records      Origin      : Chicago , Illinois Rating     : At the end Bloodletter Sharpen the Blade – and Cut Deep with Leave the Light Behind Formed in Chicago back in 2012, Bloodletter have spent over a decade refining a sound that fuses the razor-sharp attack of thrash with the melodic depth of death metal. Across releases like Under the Dark Mark (2018), Funeral Hymns (2020), and A Different Kind of Hell (2023), the band have carved out a loyal following in the underground — known for their blistering energy, tight execution, and dark, no-nonsense songwriting. Their latest release, Leave the Light Behind — out via Wise Blood Records — marks a new high point. Clocking in at just over 35 minutes, it’s a tightly packed display of melody, aggression, and atmosphere — all delivered with surgical precision. -----------...

Plasmodulated - An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell

Image
My review on Plasmodulated debut album  Release : 1 August 2025 Label       : Dawnbreed Records Origin      : Gainsville , Florida Rating     : At The End Some albums don't just ask to be heard — they demand to be experienced. An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell by Plasmodulated is one of those rare debut releases that instantly grabs your attention, not just with its grotesque title, but with its raw creativity and relentless sound. Blending old-school death metal with sludge, thrash, and a surprisingly clean guitar tone, Plasmodulated creates a nightmarish yet hypnotic world that feels both familiar and completely deranged. This is death metal with vision — filthy, chaotic, and weirdly beautiful.   Plasmodulated – An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell A brilliant debut overflowing with chaos, class, and filth Plasmodulated delivers something far more interesting than just traditional death meta...

Harvested - Dysthymia

Image
My Review on Harvested - Dysthymia Release : 1. august 2025 Label       : Independent Origin      : Canada  Rating    : At the End A Punch of Technical Precision and Melodic Brutality Canadian band Harvested first made waves with their self-titled EP, which raised expectations among fans of technical and modern death metal. Now they return with their debut full-length album, Dysthymia – a title that hints at inner unrest and psychological darkness. And that's exactly what this record delivers: an intense, relentless, and high-energy journey through a soundscape that blends technical mastery , crushing rhythms, and melodic depth. From the very first track, the band sets the tone – blast beats hit hard, the guitars are lightning fast and razor sharp, and the vocals tear through the mix with desperation and power. Harvested maintains an unrelenting intensity throughou t. The songs are built with surgical precision, yet never fe...
