Plasmodulated – An Ocean ov Putrid, Stinky, Vile, Disgusting Hell
A brilliant debut overflowing with chaos, class, and filth
Plasmodulated delivers something far more interesting than just traditional death metal — this is a filthy and psychedelic journey that blends old-school brutality with fresh energy. The guitars are surprisingly clean for the genre, which lets the riffs truly shine. We're not just talking detuned chugging here — there's a touch of sludge and thrash that brings variation and personality.
And the vocals? Chaotic, terrifying, and absolutely perfect. They’re not just an afterthought — they feel like an integral part of this nightmarish soundscape. Nothing here feels accidental. The album is technically impressive, the production is sharp, and there's a clear artistic vision oozing from every track.
Standouts for me include “Drowning In Sputum,” “Excess Virulent Seepage,” and “Trapped in the Plasmovoid.” These are songs that crush and pull you deeper into this disgusting ocean of horror and groove.
As a debut, this is nothing short of genius. Plasmodulated instantly earns a spot on my playlist — and it’s staying there.
