Phantom Corporation - Time and Tide

Phantom Corporation plays a raw mix of death metal, thrash, and punk, and Time and Tide makes that clear right away. This is an album built on aggression, speed, and energy rather than polish or finesse.

The record opens with “Frantic Disruption”, a brutal track that sets the tone instantly. It gives a clear vision of what kind of album this is going to be. The intensity stays high through the next few songs, with plenty of strong riffs, sharp guitar solos, and frequent blast beats. Everything feels tight and driven forward without losing momentum.

The vocals are aggressive and harsh, fitting the music perfectly. There is no overthinking here, just brute force. Musically, the album sits firmly in extreme death metal territory, but with clear thrash and punk influences pushing through. These elements give the album a raw and almost reckless feel that works in its favor.

“Krokodil” stands out mainly because it is in German and is much shorter than the other tracks. At under two minutes, it feels like a quick burst of violence before the album moves on again.

The title track “Time and Tide” is one of the highlights. The riffs are strong, the drumming is intense, and the rhythm guitars hit hard before the vocals come crashing in. The closing track, “Western Apocalypse”, running over five minutes, shows that the band is also capable of writing longer and more technical songs without losing intensity.

The production is solid throughout. The mix is clear and powerful, and everything sits well together.
Time and Tide is a strong and energetic thrash/death metal album with punk attitude, built on raw sound and straight-forward execution.
