Abysmal Grief - Taetra Philosophia

Image
My Review on Abysmal Grief - Teatra Philosophia  Release : December 12th , 2025 Origin     : Genoa , Italy Label     : Avantgarde Music Rating    : At the end Abysmal Grief is an Italian occult doom metal band with a long-standing presence in the underground. Their music is slow, atmospheric, and heavily reliant on organ and keyboard textures, drawing from classic doom traditions. Their latest album continues down this familiar path. Judging doom metal is always a bit of a risk, especially when it ventures deep into occult territory. Questions tend to surface along the way: Who am I stepping on? What am I not fully understanding? And is this an album that demands complete submission rather than critical distance? The album opens with sounds strongly reminiscent of a churchorgan, placed within a clearly occult soundscape. Under different circumstances this could easily feel overdone or even parodic? But here it works surprisingly well. Abys...

Taedifer - Indivinus

Image
My Review on Taedifer - Indivinus Release : December 20th , 2025 Origin     : Holubov , Czechia  Label      : Archaic Sound Rating    : At the end Taedifer - Indivinus  Taedifer is a Czech death metal band formed in 2021, consisting of experienced musicians from the country’s extreme metal underground. Rooted in old-school death metal and the classic HM-2 guitar sound, their music draws heavily from early Swedish and Gothenburg-era influences.  The opening track on Indivinus sets the tone right away. It begins with a section of spoken words in what I assume is the band’s native language, giving the album a ritualistic and almost ominous introduction before the music fully kicks in. Once it does, Taedifer make their intentions clear: this is pure HM-2–driven death metal, and they stay true to that path throughout the whole album. The sound is deeply rooted in old Swedish death metal, with clear nods to the Gothenburg era. It’s raw...

Lady Luna and the Devil - Vampiric Visions vol.||

My Review of the Lady Luna and the Devil - Vampiric Visions Vol.2 Release : December 12th , 2025 Origin    : Detroit , Michican , USA Label     : The Swamp Records Rating   : At The End Lady Luna and the Devil – Vampiric Visions Vol. II: Living Death Lady Luna and the Devil is a doom- and gothic-metal band from Detroit, Michigan (USA) . The project centers around Lady Luna (vocals, keys) and The Devil (guitars/bass) , and their music blends dark, theatrical gothic elements with doom-laden atmospheres and heavy metal foundations. The album opens in a theatrical way, starting with a short intro that immediately sets the tone and makes you want to continue listening. From there, the clean vocals take the center. It fit the concept and theme very well, and there is no doubt that the vocal performance is a key element of the album. For me, though, the vocals are a mixed experience, sometimes they work and support the atmosphere, other times they di...

Defenestration - Windowframe Evisceration Sequence

Image
My Review  Defenestration - Windowframe Evisceration Sequence Release : December 18th , 2025 Origin    : Overpelt , Limburg , Belgia  Label     : Reality Fade Records Rating   : At The End Defenestration – Windowframe Evisceration Sequence Defenestration are a slamming death metal / deathcore band from Overpelt, Limburg in Belgium. The band consists of Roy Feyen on guitars and drum programming, Bart Van Damme on vocals, and Sam Philipsen on bass. Before Windowframe Evisceration Sequence , the band released Scalped on the Pavement in 2019 and Culpable Homicide in 2020, steadily building their reputation within the brutal underground. This was my first real encounter with Defenestration, and what a journey it turned out to be. The first impression was fear ,it didn’t take long to understand that this album was going to be brutal. And when I say “fast ,” I mean very fast. The vocals are absolutely savage. Brutal to the point of being ...

Lamp of Murmuur - The Dreaming prince in ecstasy

Image
My Review of Lamp of Murmuur - The Dreaming Prince in Ecstasy Release : 14th November , 2025 Origin     : Olympia , USA       Label      : Wolves of Hades Rating    : At the end Lamp of Murmuur – The Dreaming Prince in Ecstasy Lamp of Murmuur is a one-man black metal project that has steadily built a name in the underground with a distinct and atmospheric approach to the genre. The Dreaming Prince in Ecstasy was my first real encounter with the band, something that can go both ways when approaching a new release with no prior expectations. From the start, the album feels ambitious and experimental , while still being rooted in black metal. There are clear influences from gothic metal and several symphonic passages woven into the music. The album has a strong sense of cohesion, pulling the listener into its world almost without explanation. It feels complete in its own way, even when it is difficult to pinpoint exactly w...

My Review on Phantom Coropration - Time and Tide Release : 12th of December , 2025      Origin     : Bremen , Germany  Label      : Supreme Chaos Records Rating    : At the end Phantom Corporation - Time and Tide Phantom Corporation plays a raw mix of death metal, thrash, and punk, and Time and Tide makes that clear right away. This is an album built on aggression, speed, and energy rather than polish or finesse. The record opens with “Frantic Disruption” , a brutal track that sets the tone instantly. It gives a clear vision of what kind of album this is going to be. The intensity stays high through the next few songs, with plenty of strong riffs, sharp guitar solos, and frequent blast beats. Everything feels tight and driven forward without losing momentum. The vocals are aggressive and harsh, fitting the music perfectly. There is no overthinking here, just brute force. Musically, the album sits firmly in extreme deat...

Graveyard Winds

Image
My review on Graveyard Winds - Those ,who come with the mist Release   : November 28th , 2025 Origin      : Medellin , Columbia  Label       : Awakening Records Rating     : At the end Those , Who Come With The Mist A raw, earth-shaking slab of death metal done right Graveyard Winds delivers a strong and heavy death metal record that hits hard from the start. The guitar tone is gusty, powerful, and constantly pushing the music forward. The riffs are many, direct, and aggressive, giving the album a steady momentum all the way through. The drumming is orthodox and solid. It doesn’t try to impress with technical showing off, but instead builds a firm foundation that fits the music perfectly. Together with the bass and the layers of guitars, the sound becomes dense and forceful. The vocals are guttural, meaty, and brutal. At times they take on a cavernous quality, leaning toward traditional death metal but with a darker, heavie...

Victim - Nuclear Nightmare

Image
My Review on Victim - Nuclear Nightmare Release : December 6th , 2025 Origin     : Weimar , Germany Label      : Independent Rating    : At The End A blast of old-school thrash, raw energy, and unfiltered aggression. Nuclear Nightmare opens deceptively calm , a slow, brooding intro that lingers just long enough for you to wonder where it’s going, and then it detonates. The moment the drums hit, you’re thrown straight back into the era when thrash was dangerous, uncompromising, and bursting with youthful aggression. It feels like having an entire rehearsal room hurled at your face , in the best possible way. From the very start, Victim prove why the underground has been buzzing. The band delivers a blend of classic thrash, raw crossover energy, and subtle hints of hard rock and grunge. At times you hear Slayer. Other moments? Metallica. And occasionally a flash of early Sodom. These guys aren’t hiding their influences , they’re weaponizing...
